Everglades City: Despite the name, Everglades City is not in Everglades National Park, which occupies Florida's southern tip. The park's principal access is from its east side near Miami, on the opposite side of the peninsula, and that is where visitors find most of the park's facilities. Everglades City is on the park's Gulf side, near Naples. It is still a rural community, an active commercial and sport fishing port lacking most of the usual tourist ticky-tack. While it does not have full park facilities, it does have a National Park Service visitor's centre, and it is the jumping off place for canoeists and kayakers leaving on long wilderness treks through the Ten Thousand Islands region of the Everglades.

It has been argued that the Japanese work organization has been practiced and transferred more successful in the automobile industry because of its higher technicality. This article examines how second-generation Patel women and men navigate dating in the context of their bicultural identities as Indian-Americans, and the gender structures of the Patel community in Florida. It finds that second generation Patel women and men reject alike their parents' perception of dating as non-Indian behavior and the American perception of dating as healthy fun. Rather, Patel women and men have reconceptualized dating in a manner that appeals to their identities as Indian-Americans. Accordingly, dating for them is not only a means of exploring their preferences in intimate partnering, but must necessarily have an end goal binding it - namely marriage. Gender structures within the Patel community create differentia] dating experiences for Patel women and men. In resp...

An important operational aspect of international business is the coordination of widely dispersed resources of their networks of relationships with partners. Such interdependencies affect their ability to compete and/or create economic wealth. In order to examine the significance of network relationships in alliance capitalism and foreign direct investment (FDI), a network perspective as governance structure is used to examine the effects of resource interdependencies on relationship value. The article provides insights into alliance capitalism of interfirm relations for understanding implications for relationship value and increasing FDI between firms in industrial clusters of small and medium sized firms.
