The work of these two artists didn't really balance in my mind. I held onto this idea of imbalance while entering Gallery 1.1.1., seeing [Grace Nickel]'s graceful ceramic installation juxtaposed against the line of colour photographs by [William Pura]. It is not the medium or each artist's basic exploration within it that links their work; the connection is the component of human experience and change they share. Pura's photographs of Winnipeg's Logan Avenue also hold markers of history, memory and change.
