After an overnight parking ban is declared, visitors to winnipeg.ca will be able to view a new city map that will show the residential streets that will be plowed on the night in question in red. Residential streets that won't be plowed that night will be shown in black. Snow routes -- where bans are always in effect from Dec. 1 to March 1 -- will be shown in brown. Winnipeg is the first city in North America to implement an online notification system for snow plowing, [Bruce McPhail] said. Within the next year, the map will also be able to show streets that have already been plowed by marking them in green, he added.

Such was the situation Ford was faced with when redesigning its Escape mini-ute for 2008.
