Shoehorned between the Mustang's MacPherson strut front suspension is a supercharged 32-valve, 5.4-litre V8 producing an honest 500 horsepower at 6,000 r.p.m. and 480 ft./lbs. of torque at 4,500 r.p.m. To gain room for the larger engine, you can see there's been considerable movement of items associated with the Mustang GT's under-hood architecture. While it's certainly a full house, regular maintenance items are clearly marked and within easy reach. A strut tower brace has been added to improve front-end rigidity and a 34mm stabilizer bar adequately keeps the nose flat on corners.
Everything you'd expect to find under the hood of a performance car is here and SVT didn't stop there. Power flows through a composite metallic/ceramic clutch to a Tremec TR-6060 six-speed manual transmission...

In Spain we saw a lot of the quatrefoil design, which is Moorish. I drew it out in the garage on the floor, thought, 'I like the proportions of that' and commenced building it," says [Neil Zinger], who's an amazingly handy person. "We mixed the concrete here, poured it, then the cobblestone went on top of the base of that.
"For many years I've done licorice and kale and sweet potato vine in the pots. They're silvery, black, white, and I try to get a dark red in there," [Jennifer Annesley] says. "The beautiful thing about the licorice plant is, it'll grow to three or four feet in diameter. In the winter, we leave the urns because they look just the same as in the summer. They look like dried flower arrangements."

As the dancers from our own Royal Winnipeg Ballet prepare to spend a little time in Neverland for the next couple of weeks, their thoughts, no doubt, are of home. But there's no make-believe about these wonderful holiday dishes and stories of home and family that four of the dancers are sharing here. The Royal Winnipeg Ballet seeks out the best dancers both from abroad and from here in Canada, which suits perfectly a city as culturally diverse as Winnipeg. You'll find that diversity reflected here with soloist Alexander (Sasha) Gamayunov from Kyiv, Ukraine; corps de ballet member Yayoi Ezawa from Chiba, Japan; one Canadian -- soloist Jennifer Welsman from Penticton, B.C.; and, finally, principal dancer Jaime Vargas from Mexico City. Enjoy their stories and their wonderful recipes, then ...

These are features that have traditionally appealed to condo loft buyers," says real estate agent [Bill Thiessen] of RE/MAX Performance. "When people are looking for a loft, they think of natural wood, exposed brick, industrial finishes, and wide open spaces. It's the openness they are typically looking for.
"The existing floor is basically held up by beams and then there was a bunch of old wood," said [Neil Cooper]. "We infilled between the wooden beams for soundproofing and fireproofing." At the same time, the beams are still visible for aesthetic reasons.
"We also did things to allow duct shafts to pass through the floors and brought the building up to code requirements," says [Gerhard Hoppenheit]. "We installed a new stairwell on the north side of the building and even worked with...

I bought my first piece when I was 12 and I was hooked. I've been buying antiques ever since," she says as she glances at the tin-plate Orange Crush and Red Rose Tea signs that hang in her kitchen. This year, [Lorraine Hepting] upped the ante on her antique collection with the purchase of Heavitree Farm in the Cowichan Valley north of Victoria. It's a 76-year-old, 2.5-acre spread with a circa-1930s Cape Cod style house.
While rumours of mutiny clouded Captain Mainguy's tenure on the Uganda, Sub-lieutenant Malcolm Butler, writing for the CFB Esquimalt Naval and Military museum, noted that the ship was caught in a political morass when then Prime Minister Mackenzie King announced close to the end of the war that with victory in sight, military service personnel were to be "volunteers on...
