That bit of luck inspired [Don Dohler] to keep his hand in, eventually making movies according to the titular content formula to appease bottom-line-minded distributors. Throughout, Dohler claimed to be uncomfortable with asking cast members to do nudity, especially when a given actress might be his wife's hairdresser. This doc by John Paul Kinhart follows Dohler and his designated director -- the sublimely named ex-cop Joe Ripple -- as they toil on their latest project Blood Hunt. We see them enduring setbacks including a leading actor dropping out after the first day (Ripple steps in to take his place).Incorporating footage from Dohler's library of films, and interviews with family, friends and dubious fans, the film often elicits a few superior laughs at the -- shall we say humble? -...
