I think it proves that you can run trucks in Manitoba with a five per cent biodiesel fuel and I think it speaks well for the biodiesel industry -- that it is a viable industry for Manitoba," [Dennis Smerchanski] said in an interview before a press conference Thursday at the company's Gunn Road site.
"This demonstration... is evidence of the progress we are making in developing biodiesel as a made-in-Manitoba, clean-energy alternative," said Science, Technology, Energy and Mines Minister Jim Rondeau.
"It went excellent. No problems, no noticeable (truck operating) difference in running B-5 (5 per cent biodiesel) fuel," Smerchanski said.

His troops shortened it further to "KFH" and painted it on the cluster of trailers that served as their makeshift headquarters. They emblazoned KFH on their unit letterhead. Everyone in the unit carried a poker chip bearing the three letters.
