This one will sting for Bombers fans as they watched the underdog Stampeders upset Winnipeg in the Grey Cup. Calgary finished the regular season with an 8-10 mark, and after defeating the B.C. Lions in the West semifinal, stormed into Edmonton to knock off the Eskimos at Commonwealth Stadium. Next came the Blue Bombers, the league's No. 1 regular-season club with a 14-4 mark, in Montreal for the Grey Cup. Quarterback Marcus Crandell torched the Bombers' secondary and placekicker Troy Westwood went 1-for-4 kicking field goals to allow the Stamps to steal a 27-19 win.
