Although the two aforementioned dimensions have been recovered widely in previous research, the relations between these two dimensions have tended to vary across samples, both within and between cultures (e.g., [Duckitt], 2001; [Duriez] et al., 2005). In some samples, the two dimensions are nearly independent, but in other samples the relations are much stronger.
