The Los Angeles Times editorial said that the Obama administration should Stop waffling on Honduras (Nov. 9). In the name of avoiding "a setback for democracy" Honduras is supposed to reinstate deposed President [Zelaya]. Both the U.S. and Honduran governments are accused of dithering. In fact, Zelaya's ouster last summer was entirely democratic. Zelaya had pursued -- in contravention of the constitution of Honduras -- the elimination of strict term limits. The constitution's Article 4 provides that any "infraction" of the succession rules constitutes treason.
