Whether you start or end in Athens, even with the smog, you should not visit that country without a day or two visiting the Acropolis, nearby ruins, and gaining the experience of the urban side of Greece. However, I don't know whether I would share your enthusiasm for a winter vacation there. The winters are mild, not necessarily hot or even warm. "It was not going well with us -- we lost five tough ones so J.M. ([Jean-Michel Menard]) told me, 'Go skip, kid.' I just played my game and, as always, intensity is important.
"It's nice to give them her experience to go out there and slide on the ice surface like that and to throw some rocks. I said 'Do you want to take a slide?' And she said 'I don't have my shoes.' And I said 'Here you go, here's my shoes.'"
"It was fun getting a chance to curl with a good team like that and on ice like that," she said. "I've never curled on ice like this. His shoes were really big but it was fun curling with them. I'm glad I go...
