Preliminary flight data from Comair Flight 5191's black box recorders and the damage at the scene indicate the plane, a CRJ-100 regional jet, took off from the shortest runway at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport, National Transportation Safety Board member Debbie Hersman said.
The Atlanta-bound plane plowed through a perimeter fence and crashed in a field about a kilometre from the end of that runway at about 6:07 a.m. Aerial images of the crash site in the rolling hills of Kentucky's horse country showed trees damaged at the end of the short runway and the nose of the plane almost parallel to the small strip.

The hippocampus and surrounding regions of the medial temporal lobe play a central role in all neuropsychological theories of memory. It is still a matter of debate, however, how best to characterise the functions of these regions, the hippocampus in particular. In this article, I examine the proposal that the hippocampus is a "stupid" module whose specific domain is consciously apprehended information. A number of interesting consequences for the organisation of memory and the brain follow from this proposal and the assumptions it entails. These, in turn, have important implications for neuropsychological theories of recent and remote episodic, semantic, and spatial memory and for the functions that episodic memory may serve in perception, comprehension, planning, imagination, and prob...

The opening scene finds a gaggle of girls in what could be a graveyard, sporting oversized crosses, joyously dancing to the devil's music, rock 'n' roll. One of the colourfully outfitted members of the bobby-socked set seemed possessed by Chubby Checker as she twists the night away.
It doesn't help that even with a traditional retelling of The Crucible, [Arthur Miller] is at his most melodramatic, preachy and sexist. (Are women really the root of all this evil?). His is a righteous, old-fashioned, black-and-white world that emits a whiff of sanctimony. That's why it is his most-produced play, especially among student and community companies who can afford a cast of 22.
