Late this week, a jury was asked to decide if the past had caught up with Robert Kociuk. He's been on trial and facing the most heinous of allegations: that in May of 1984 he raped, stabbed and slashed a vulnerable, 48-year-old woman to death. Beverley Dyke had lived alone in Winnipeg's Wolseley neighbourhood. Kociuk is presumed innocent unless the allegations are proven.
