In a letter sent yesterday to Canada Elections commissioner Raymond Landry, NDP ethics critic Pat Martin says a probe is needed into [Belinda Stronach]'s campaign financing, which included a corporate donation that wasn't declared as part of her official filing. It was only after an Elections Canada review of her campaign spending that Stronach reimbursed the donor for the over-contribution, more than a year after receiving it. The amendment to her official campaign form and the required repayment of the excess donation came after Stronach crossed the floor of the Commons to join Paul Martin's Liberal government in May 2005 as his Human Resources Minister.
