Notarius has developed and is managing the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) of the Chambre des notaires du Quebec, now known as the Quebec Certification Centre. This infrastructure delivers secure digital signatures. A digital signature is a personal mark placed in an electronic document by means of a technological process known as asymmetric key cryptography. On Jul 4, 2007, NSF International Strategic Registrations announced the registration of the Notarius-managed PKI for ISO 27001 certification. The role of the Quebec Certification Centre is to issue a digital certificate containing information that has been verified beforehand, confirming the identity and the professional status of the key and certificate holder.
