It's time to recognize, however, that building a stronger downtown is in everyone's self-interest, regardless of their income bracket. Ottawa also has a role to play. Renovating old heritage buildings easily fits into Ottawa's green infrastructure programs at a time when the feds are looking for ways to stimulate the weakening economy. The federal government also has a duty to the Exchange District, which it too often forgets is a national historic district.
At the same time, no one should expect revitalization to occur within a span of a few years. It's an ongoing, never-ending process and one that has preoccupied some cities for the past 25 years. The endeavour will be more difficult, however, if there isn't a firm plan and commitment, both of which are lacking at the moment.

That's why we wanted to debut the new 2011 Ford Super Duty in the heart of Canada's truck territory. Agribition is the most sought-after agricultural marketplace in the world and visitors to the event will be among the first Canadians to see the new Super Duty.
This new mill features the first use of a compacted graphite iron (CGI) engine block in a Super Duty-class vehicle in North America. According to Ford engineers, CGI is stronger than cast iron and Ford has successfully used the material in engine blocks in other products around the world. The block structure was optimized for reduced weight and maximum strength to help meet the demands of higher torque and more horsepower, while still maintaining class-leading fuel economy, Ford says.
