I talked to my son. I asked him if he was OK. He said yes," said [Joannie Robinson]. "I tried to find out where he was, (but) he kept telling me 'Mom, I don't know where I am.'
"As you can appreciate, they're going through a very difficult time, but [Zachary]'s father wants to say, 'I'm thinking of you, bud,' and that the family is very concerned for his safety. He also wants to let Zachary know that they're working very hard to bring him home."
"Zach's mom looked kind of scared," Whisper said. "She said, 'If you do see Zach I should tell my mom and she'll phone the police.'"

Before we cast the next volley of stones at Tiger Woods who has allegedly, at this point, been involved in some indiscretions since his marriage to the beautiful Elin Nordegren, let's make sure we all know exactly what it's like to live on 'Temptation Island' and how we would act if we were actually ever there.
Because that's just it. We don't know what it's like to be Tiger Woods and we can't judge him because we don't know how we would behave in a similar environment. If you think you do and are resolute about it, you are naive and full of it. Not only can we not afford to put ourselves in his shoes, but we would not know where to go to get them or how to tie them up.
As a columnist I'm supposed to give you [Michael Jordan]'s background in case you have never heard of him, but like Ti...

For those of you who missed last week's entry, I spun my perspective and played the devil's advocate in a column entitled Don't judge Tiger until you've walked a par five in his Nikes. Well, as I learned, it's way too late for that, a lot of you have already judged him and don't think his surreal lifestyle and trappings are necessarily relevant or a mulligan for his character failings in his marriage -- and you may be right -- but that won't stop me from trying to get you to see the dark side of the force one more time.
I know where I went wrong last week. Too much time on the Michael Jordan story and the procession of beauties, and not enough time explaining about walking in Tiger's shoes. How do I have any idea of what it's like to walk in those shoes? Well, I don't. But what I can do...

Sometimes when I think of all the fun stuff I missed because I was too cool for school it makes me shudder. Thankfully, old age straightened me out. Sure, there's still a chain on my wallet, but now that I'm north of 40 I'm no longer ashamed to admit I enjoy listening to many popular bands, including Nickelback. I also enjoy vogue vampire movies, prefer Ellen over Oprah and often wear a full-faced motorcycle helmet.
My modern Mustang moment was facilitated by the previous test driver, local radio personality and freelance automobile journalist Michael Clark. As he handed me the keys to a fully loaded Grabber Blue 2010 Mustang GT Coupe, there was a grin on his face and a warning in his tone. "It's a fun car," Clark said, "but you might get tired of filling it with gas every two days.

Forty years later," [] says, brushing back his silver hair, "I am still just as passionate about this car. It's still something else.
"I look at the current Opel GT and Saturn Sky and I can't help but be proud," Jordan says. "Something still makes them shine."
"I love the new cars," Jordan says with a smile. "This is the way to go in the future. We're moving on."

The men, from Winnipeg, Halifax and Toronto, didn't know a breast cancer patient before they left Halifax on May 1 to raise money for cancer research. On Monday, they pushed their longboards -- a stretched skateboard with tennis ball-sized wheels -- into Winnipeg.
We don't know anybody (with breast cancer) at this point but we're going to know someone eventually because the rate is so high," Winnipegger Rob Lewis, 25, said outside the Legislative building yesterday.
"But we certainly don't compare ourselves to ([Terry Fox]) by any stretch of the imagination," [Benjamin Jordan] said, noting the team paid tribute to Fox in Thunder Bay where a statue marks his run's cessation.
