Grand Chief Ron Evans said AMC officials have talked to CentreVenture Development Corp. -- the city's downtown development agency -- about several possible sites for an urban reserve that would include a Governance House. CentreVenture CEO Ross McGowan said the agency already has plans for that site, and will make an announcement within a few weeks. "But we will continue to work with the AMC to see if we can accommodate their needs at other locations in the downtown. For the project to proceed, it has to find a Manitoba First Nation that's willing to establish an urban reserve, or economic development zone, in the area. Evans said AMC is talking to several, but he wouldn't say who.
