  • ON Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, Virtuosi Concerts held its fifth annual Fundraiser L'Affaire Chocolat. Hosted by The Fairmont hotel in the ballroom, guests were invited to celebrate Valentine's Day Gershwin style with The Ron Paley Trio and vocalists Kelsey Cowie and Rebecca Smith. The affair included wine and liqueur tasting, special savouries, delicious desserts and delectable chocolates from sponsors including MLCC, Rogers Chocolates from Victoria B.C., Café Kohler and Bakery and Cornelia Bean of Winnipeg. Helmut Mathae, a teacher and pastry chef at Louis Riel School Division Arts and Technology Centre, displayed his chocolate creations.
