  • Telecommuting has legal implications that are often overlooked by managers. It should be implemented on a part-time basis during the early stages of its adoption in any organization. This will allow managers and subordinates to find out if this working arrangement is effective. Managers may have to adjust their management styles to those that will better suit teleworkers. He created Citroen's first design studio in the 15th district of Paris, a 15- by 12-metre office. Armed with capital and resources, Bertoni was asked to develop an all-metal body for Citroen's next model, the Traction Avant. With its voluptuous curves, the Avant was a ground-breaking front-wheel-drive car that allowed space for passengers on a light frame. Bertoni designed one more Citroen, the Ami 6, a vehicle with sharp lines and a rear window design that would influence styling throughout the 1960s. But it did not match t...

  • This paper identifies two new tools, the Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS) and Derrida's deconstruction method, to identify cognitive differences between Australian, Thai, and Japanese managers. The KTS identifies one's temperament pattern, which describes ways in which human personalities interact with the environment to satisfy needs. Temperament theory has been extended to leadership/management theory to show that inborn temperament tendencies are differently distributed by cultural groups and these tendencies affect approaches to negotiations. Derrida's deconstruction method offers a new approach to identifying a culture's true diversity by recommending an analysis of the 'difference-to-oneself' within a culture before comparing 'difference-between' cultures. Results identified signi...
