Camps with Meaning will be offering retreats for both quilters and scrapbookers this fall. Camp Koinonia, Boissevain, will host its second annual Quilting Retreat Nov. 3-5. Instructor Nancy Ross will instruct quilters in the barjello method of quilting. The following weekend, Nov. 10-12, the Scrapbookers will meet under the leadership of Jill Hildebrand. As mentioned before, there are few studies of the Turkish Cypriot family. One important exception is Vamik Volkan's psychoanalytical study (1979) of war and adaptation. he notes: "The need of the individual to assert himself is secondary to the mutual identification within the family" (Volkan, 1979: 54).
