Super Monkey Ball Adventure is just mediocre, not horrendous. Sega has taken its simple puzzle title and tried to beef it up with a cumbersome "adventure" component. As one-time New York Knick Charles Oakley used to say, "If it ain't broke, don't break it," and Super Monkey Ball Adventure is missing some of the simplicity and charm that made the first few games such fun. This franchise wasn't meant to be an adventure game, which is why this particular iteration seems so disposable.
