That's good news for an industry that's been hard hit by the rising loonie and increased prescription drug coverage for U.S. seniors who purchase drugs at home.
[Gabriel Levitt] said much of the U.S. increase was due to price increases passed on by manufacturers. On the other side of the border, he said Canadian online pharmacists have cut prices, realizing that they have to be more competitive in light of the Medicare plan being offered to U.S. seniors.
Levitt said even with the increased drug coverage for U.S. seniors, the market south of the border for Canadian online pharmacists remains huge.

The Free Press confirmed online pharmacy pioneer Andrew Strempler's business, PharmaCheck, started operating in a free-trade zone in Curacao in August 2006 -- the same month the U.S. Food and Drug Administration first warned consumers prescription drugs from Strempler's Manitoba-based online pharmacy, RxNorth, were unsafe.
The news that Strempler is still in business outside Manitoba comes as a shock to local regulators, who recently wrapped up a three-year probe into allegations his Minnedosa-based Internet pharmacy sold counterfeit prescription drugs to Americans. Strempler agreed to strike his name from the provincial pharmacist registry and pay $7,500 as part of a deal to stay the charges against him at a discipline hearing last October. Experts say it's the most severe penalty that...

One of the worst Internet games brothers Robin and Sandy Debreuil created, in Robin's opinion, was a spoof on the TV reality show, Survivor.
Until 2001, their company, Debreuil Digital Works, employed 12 people and was run from an abandoned school in Miami -- Manitoba's Miami -- about 100 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg. But running the company took them away from hands-on creation of computer-animated electronic games, so they began working for themselves. Robin, 43, lives on a 22-hectare farm near Roseisle with his wife, Yuriko Mukumoto, a pharmacy technician, and their twin sons and a daughter. Sandy, 44, and his family reside in nearby Miami.
Robin is the video game programmer and brother Sandy is an online cartoonist (crowbarbenson.com), and they are self-taught. "People are bent ...

I have no problem with the removal of "thy sons command" and replacing it with the original words. That being said, I think if anything should be changed or removed it should be "God keep our land glorious and free." No "God" kept us glorious and free -- the great soldiers and leaders from Canada did. Twenty five per cent of Canadians claim to have no religious affiliation, and this number is increasing year after year. Canada deservers an anthem that will unite our citizens, regardless of sex, religiosity, spoken language or place of birth.
