So I went to see this guy and I kept on saying 'I'm sorry I'm here, I don't even know why I'm here,' and then he finally said, 'You know what? You don't have to say that any more. You let me decide whether you should be here or not.' And he went through all the dexterity tests.
"It's funny how it goes ... one week you're told you've got [James Parkinson]'s and you think your life is over and then over the course of the next week you're thinking, 'OK, what if it's not Parkinson's, what if it's ALS or this or that or whatever?' So by the time the next guy tells you you've got Parkinson's, you almost want to kiss the guy because you think it could be something worse.

There's accumulating evidence to show that mitochondria are involved in the aging process and if the mitochondria don't work very well, the energy, the endurance and the strength of muscles become diminished," study co-author Dr. Mark Tarnopolsky of McMaster University said from Hamilton.
"The main, novel finding is that we could bring that aging mitochondria pattern back towards a younger person, almost reversing the aging signature, pretty much by 40, 45 years with six months of weight training," he said. "What's cool about that is that this aging is reversible -- maybe not 100 per cent -- but at least at the (cellular) level, we're seeing a significant reversal of accumulated damage over a long period of time.
"My kids were really impressed with my arms," said [Barbara Ford], 72. "...

A culture of inquiry is emerging from research-based information literacy instruction that takes place in school libraries. An ethnographic approach views the culture of inquiry through two lenses: (1) cultural anthropology and an emerging theory of evidence-based information literacy instruction, and (2) Tylor's anthropological definition of culture which serves as a framework to examine the knowledge, beliefs, art, morals, law, and customs of instruction. An emerging theory of information literacy instruction unique to school libraries identifies constructivist learning theory as the knowledge source and evidence-based practice as the underlying belief. The art of teaching in this culture is described in ten corollaries to the theory. Morals and law emerge from 21st century initiative...
