While the Journey is offered with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine that's married to a four-speed automatic transmission, it is the R/T's 3.5L V6 and six-speed manumatic that is the powertrain of choice. It brings plenty of power to the party -- 235 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. Factor in the lower first gear and the crossover's initial launch is crisper than expected. Keep the hammer down and the R/T runs to 100 kilometres an hour in 8.4 seconds. Once up to highway speeds, top gear brings quiet, comfortable cruising. However, if you're buying this delightful engine for its fuel economy, you might want to rethink. My week-long test average of 12.9 litres per 100 km did not impress.
When it comes to handling, the R/T and its sportier suspenders is remarkably accom...

"Yes, it's an issue," he said. "We are not ignoring it but it's not stopping us."
"I think it's a real problem," said [Al Morrow]. "You hear about them cutting back cars by half and cutting back industry and I think that will help. But we're 45 minutes north of the city. Basically, we're out in the country. Apparently even there, the air quality's better."

So with Canada's [Jennifer Jones] on the ice against China in the Page playoff 1 vs. 2 game Friday night, with a chance to advance straight to the Sunday's final with a win or play in today's semifinal against Japan with a loss, it was hard not to feel an overriding sense that finally, mercifully, the time has come for these women to climb the top podium on curling's world stage.
the powers that be decided to change the system in the very year Jones and Officer were scheduled to compete, choosing that year -- of all possible years -- to decide that Canada would send its junior champion to the worlds in the same year. To try and make it right for Jones, they inserted her directly into the semifinal of the 1995 Canadian Juniors, so that at least she'd have a chance to compete for a worlds...
