Manitoba's urban search and rescue (USAR) team operates on a provincial basis, with members from Winnipeg and Brandon police departments, RCMP, Manitoba Hydro, rural volunteers and several regional health authorities working together. Two members of Hong Kong's fire services department and training school have joined the team leaders in Brandon this week as part of a two-week nationwide tour of search and rescue practices.
