The Murray Auto Group has kicked off a major sales promotion for the month of June. "We hope to set a sales record by selling 1,500 new and used vehicles among our 20 dealerships across the country in June," says Dan Murray, president of Murray Chev Hummer and Murray Hyundai, both located at the Manitoba Auto Mall on Waverley near Bishop Grandin. "We are asking every one of our dealerships to raise their sales targets in June by 20 per cent.
We'll be offering special incentives above and beyond any manufacturer's incentives," Dan Murray says. "We will also be launching a website -- Murray Auto Group Greatest Auto Sale -- next week."

Another example of promotion and sales of fair trade sports balls, this time in Canada, is the work of the Ottawa YMCA "Y Focus" Sports program, which distributes fair-trade sports balls across our country. An interesting fair-trade initiative designed for World Cup enthusiasts in the United Kingdom is the "A Sip for South Africa" campaign, in full swing now to take advantage of the British twin desire of watching championship football and downing a glass of wine.

The WSO has learned that the only way to survive and thrive is to learn from one's mistakes, and it is determined to do so. "We were constantly involved in the tyranny of the urgent financial situation," admitted [Dale Lonis], "and didn't always listen to our audience.
We've streamlined our core product," he added. "We've cancelled three different series, so that we can place more emphasis on our core programs." Despite having 15 fewer concerts over the year, subscriber sales have increased, as have single-ticket sales, in part due to an online promotion and revised price structuring. "We sold $24,000 in single ticket sales in 12 days," Lonis said.
Lonis is forthcoming about the financial situation of the orchestra. "It's still a challenge with our government and arts granting partne...

This article reports the results of an experimental study in which four characteristics of sales promotions in the performing arts were manipulated: the type of promotion, the type of performance, the attractiveness of the performance, and the fit between the promotion and the performance. The results show that these factors had interactive effects on consumer reactions. Thus, although the fit between the promotion and the performance had a generally positive impact on consumer appreciation of the promotional offer, this effect was more important when the performance was more attractive. Sales promotions that closely fit the performing arts category were less likely to be perceived as manipulative when the performances were less attractive. We conclude that more research is needed on th...

He was in his glory playing musical theatre," says Kayla Gordon, the director who cast him. "No one will fill his shoes because he always added that extra flair. There's a song in The Producers about the King of Old Broadway. That name sure fits him.
In November performer Debbie Maslowsky attended a funeral with [Ron Meyers], and while they were walking from the gravesite he fantasized about having show tunes and production numbers at his funeral. "Then he said, 'I'd want merchandise sales,'" recalls Maslowsky. "He was all about promotion of musicals."
"It was one of the ones on our list and still is," says Donna Fletcher, co-artistic director of Dry Cold Productions. "I think we're thinking pretty seriously about doing it."

This paper empirically examined the level of Japanese work organization and management techniques as practiced in PROTON. It has been argued that the Japanese work organization has been practiced and transferred more successful in the automobile industry because of its higher technicality. The PROTON-MITSUBISHI alliance has now been going for more than two decades (since 1982). Although PROTON has not yet been able to produce its own engine unless the CamPro engine with Waja model in 1999, this alliance is the best case to test the extent Japanese work organization is practiced to test the degree of transfer in the best sector and the best project to be studied. The discussion on Japanese influence on PROTON manufacturing systems to access the role of technological transfer done by Mits...
