New and improved: There are a number of fresh features on this year's slate. One of them was supposed to be Wild Planet's grand opening at the former Church of Christ near Confusion corner; but a snafu in the inspections process has delayed the rock shop's move from its Donald Street digs until August.
Tunes: On the mainstage, there's a lineup of local rock talent, including the winner of Hot 103's Locals Only contest. Just like last year, the outdoor stage will also feature teams of older mentor rock bands with fresh high school talent; among the pairings are dreamy retro-popsters Quinzy (with the Playing Cards) and rockers the Nods (with Kobalt).
