Businesses are looking for some quick, short-term economic injection that will generate economy. The budget announced, under the commitment of accelerated infrastructure and new investment, a $12-billion investment over the next two years in "shovel-ready" projects. This will not only generate an economic stimulus for construction, engineering, architects and material manufacturers, but the indirect affect on support services to these projects will begin as soon as the shovel hits the ground.
