Eugene Arcand of Muskeg Lake Cree Nation said he is working with nine other members from around the country who to him, give off a "good vibe.
Most of the survivors in Saskatchewan know who I am, I went to school both in the north and the south," said Arcand, who spent 10 years at the St. Michael Indian Residential School in Duck Lake and one year at the Lebret Student Residence, both in Saskatchewan.

The building is one of 11 in Manitoba registered with LEED. Only one, the Mountain Equipment Co-op building on Portage Avenue, has been certified by LEED and is in their gold standard. The others, including the Entegra Credit Union, Manitoba Hydro's new headquarters and the student residence at Canadian Mennonite University are either under construction or in the process of getting certified.
It is a point-based system with four rating levels: LEED certified (26-32 points), LEED silver (33 to 38 points), LEED gold (39-51 points) and LEED platinum (52 to 70 points).
