Gum May Help After Operation On Colon
Chewing gum may speed the return of normal bowel function after colon surgery, a new analysis of five studies suggests. TOB's four fruit-based flavours, which contain five per cent alcohol and use pear concentrate as sweetener instead of sugar, are black currant, pomegranate, cranberry and mango. They're also being produced by Angostura. [Ernie McIvor] said the non-carbonated beverages are targeted to "more mature beverage drinkers" but initially they're most popular with university students and the over-55 crowd.
