The service economy is an essential part of the national economy, thus the acceleration of the development of the service economy has become a hot topic in the field of economic research and a consensus all over the world. Since the adoption of reform and opening policies, China's service economy has entered a new era of rapid development, especially in recent years. Notwithstanding, there are several domestic scholars considering that China's service economy not only lag behind the developed countries but also many developing countries. Through the comparison of several developed countries and developing countries, this paper analyses the real level of the development of China's service economy. This paper finds out that China's service economy is not simply backward and slow, which me...

All the developments show that the Chinese church is already taking deeper and deeper roots in China, and there are a lot of opportunities for the church to participate in culture and society. Many Chinese, both common people and intellectuals, have a renewed appreciation of the strength and relevance of the Christian faith, and many others are crying out for something that can satisfy their spiritual longing. Yes, indeed many people are searching for God, or perhaps it is God Himself who has been actively searching for the Chinese since very early times.

This paper takes its inspiration from Voth's work on Time and Work in England, 1750-1830, which argues that the British industrial revolution led to greater production levels not because of an increase in the productivity of labor but because of the larger amount of hours worked per week. If this was the case, one might argue, accounting played a marginal role either in increasing the efficiency of the work force, or in disciplining the shop floor to guarantee control of the labor process. This paper argues that if accounting is to gain a crucial position in the history of economies and societies "time" needs to be expressly posited on the agenda of accounting historians for, at the moment, it seems that the link betwee...
