Having had no response from [Joe] six weeks later, however, [Dave] telephoned the CA's office. He was told that Joe was away on business, and ended up speaking to [Karen]. Dave explained that he didn't know if anything had been done yet, and was concerned. The CRA was charging him interest on his penalty, and he wanted to know if he was required to file a 2005 return. Karen agreed to contact the CRA to clear up the penalty issue, and advised Dave that he should file his 2005 T2.
