While the hatred between owners was at least veiled when they were partners, the departure of [Mike Vecck] and [Marvin Goldklang] loosened lips, with several owners going out of their way to vent their feelings about the Saints' money men.
"We have eight loyal owners that enjoy playing each other and are business partners as well as friends," said [Rich Ehrenreich]. "We have a strong league. By my math, half the teams in the other league are struggling. They have attendance below 2,000 per game which by any standard is poor. Why would we play them and give them credibility and relief. It doesn't make sense. I can tell you, if we were to take a vote on regular season interleague play, it wouldn't get one vote from our directors. I don't see it happening in the short term or the long term.""I'm on the league board of directors and I don't know anything about a trip anywhere," said Ehrenreich.
