Here the wrecking and the bonding involve house repairs. With [Nick] and Suzanne married and two more babies on the way, the couple impulsively decides to relocate the family to a sprawling 19th-century country mansion. The house is what real-estate agent Chuck (John C. McGinley) calls "a fixer-upper." In non-real-estate-agent terms, this translates as "insatiable money pit." It's got dry rot, termites, a bad foundation, lousy pipes and faulty wiring.
