"There was no point in putting the movies in (the book) that have already been shot, because they can see them," O'Brien-Moran says. "What we're doing here is showing them what they wouldn't have expected.

"The Friday the 13th movie page (featuring shots of Elmwood Cemetery and a spooky farmhouse outside of Winnipeg) has got the attention of a producer that has filmed here," O'Brien-Moran says. "Because they've only filmed in the city, they had never seen that other side of us. And so for them, they went: "Wow, my movie could totally work for this.'"

"I think [Louise]'s concept was very clever: Suggesting that you could have done this film here and you could have got the great tax credit on top of it," [Carole Vivier] says. "And it's paying off absolutely. It's really serving to break preconceptions about the province and about the city.
