The province and the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs announced on Friday that a memorandum of understanding had been signed with Swan Lake First Nation to develop a gaming house on reserve land adjacent to Spruce Woods Provincial Park along Highway 5, about 15 km south of the Trans-Canada Highway. Though he's not angry with Swan Lake's chief and council for signing the MOU, Bone says the casino's new location is so far removed from high volume road traffic that the owners will have a difficult time making any money.
