A committee of MPs will recommend Tuesday the House of Commons find RCMP deputy commissioner Barbara George in contempt of Parliament, sources say.

George insisted during two appearances that she had nothing to do with the removal of another Mountie from a team investigating how the RCMP's $12-billion pension fund was managed.

Staff Sgt. Mike Frizzell told the committee George engineered his removal. Documents tabled last March indicate George was involved in e-mail traffic about Frizzell's move.
