"It's always bad when you have to miss games with an injury," [Alexander Frolov] told the L.A. Daily News. "I don't like it. That's why I tried to keep playing. But I think it's sometimes better to take a few games off and get back in the lineup healthy."

Kings coach Marc Crawford said Frolov would miss Saturday's game in San Jose and tonight's game in Anaheim. He'll be re-evaluated before Wednesday's game in San Jose.

Ruutu was assessed diving minors at 1:32 and 9:01 of the opening period, making him the first player since the league began specifying infractions as "diving" in the 2005-06 season to receive two in the same period. (Before that, diving was one of several violations classified under the general heading of as "unsportsmanlike conduct.")
