Leslie brings in $2,000 every two weeks, as well as receiving a honorarium for representing Wabauskang at other meetings, such as Treaty 3. Wabauskang First Nation has 80 people living on reserve. Leslie said his salary and that of his council is set "to try to keep everybody all surviving." Leslie also has a parttime job in the community. He said that chief and council salaries at Wabauskang "are a lot lower than what other bands receive."See the full content of this document
