Awards honour great Sudburians.

Some of Sudbury's most outstanding citizens were honoured on March 3 at the 13th annual Community Builders Awards of Excellence.

The sold-out gala was held at the Caruso Club and hosted by Northern Life and Northern Ontario Business publisher Abbas Homayed.

A total of nine awards were handed out during the evening for everything from arts to education to sports and recreation.

"We are so lucky at Northern Life. Not only do we tell your stories, but once a year we get to experience the true greatness of Greater Sudbury through the Community Builders Awards of Excellence," said Michael Atkins, president of both publications.
