Summary

U2 3D at IMAX is a stunning achievement that elevates the concert film experience to a whole new level. The 85-minute film was shot in seven different countries during the band's South American leg of its Vertigo tour, and since they haven't played Winnipeg since 1997's Popmart tour, this will be the next best thing for fans who haven't had the means to travel to see Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. live.

The film alternates between images from the audience and from the band's perspective, so at times you're in the best seat in the house (without being jostled by the packed crowd on the floor) and at others you're looking out at a sea of people. It's an amazing spectacle that previous concert films have always tried to achieve, but have never gotten quite right.
