Mayor Blasts Province Over Keystone Cash

Summary


The province publicly declared last Friday that it would provide the Keystone with $1.25 million in financial aid spread over five years, provided it not sell or lease any of its land for unrelated commercial purposes and, further, that the city match that it with annual $250,000 contributions of its own. Members of city council, the province and the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba currently make up the leadership team and Burgess said a review of the current governance structure is necessary "to take a look at what's going wrong or what's not working as well as it could be."
