"At the beginning of the movie, I don't think he cares if he lives or dies. It's his job," Craig says. "It's what he does. And this woman (Eva Green's heroine Vesper Lynd) blows his mind, exposes him to something and breaks his heart.

"When he walks into a room or when he sees a situation, he goes: I'm going to make this decision and I'm going to make it now. And that's kind of exciting because there's an unpredictability it gives him, but also things are going to be OK. He's going to work it out."
