Board Wants Police Website to Report All Sexual Assaults

Summary


In January 2008, CrimeStat started reporting only serious sexual assaults between strangers and not those that happen in families or relationships. Before that, CrimeStat tracked both familial sexual assaults and assaults by strangers.

"CrimeStat is meant to be information for police to share with the public, to look on offences that are being committed, to look on patterns... to have a quick response, to put resources there and resolve problems," said [Keith McCaskill].
