The president of the Sandy Lake Cottage Owners Association, Arnold Reid, says the mandatory licensing will do great things for a lake busy all summer with boaters of differing experience levels. Boating safety officer Ian Salisbury with Transport Canada's Office of Boating Safety told the Sun that since about two million Canadians have already obtained a licence, he's confident the program - which has been in existence for the past decade - will be well received.
