"We noticed the videos aren't growing as much as they've grown in the past years when it was the novelty," said survey analyst Fidel Ifedi. "The novelty is beginning to wear out."

"I think the cinema experience is best, no matter if you have 5.1 Dolby at home with a 42- or 52-inch plasma (TV screen)," [Tony Hassel] said on his way out of a matinee screening of Talladega Nights at a downtown Toronto theatre. "It's just not the same. I've been going to movies for many years and it's just best in the theatre."

"Films are to be enjoyed in the cinema," he said. "I have a home theatre and it's quite good but it's still not the same."
