"(Ground) searchers were wearing orange and you could spot them a mile away," said [Andrew McLean]. "It's too bad he wasn't wearing something brighter... but he didn't expect to go missing."

"We were hoping we'd see the dog, because we see movement," he said. "If it was moving, it would have stood out really well."

"We've got all the survival gear covered if we had spotted him," he said. "There's always a chance that we flew right over him and didn't see him.
