Mysteries surrounding Bobby Fischer are continuing even after his death. There are reports he was quietly buried in a small church cemetery about 60 kilometres south of Reykjavik, but there is speculation about who might be entitled to his estate.
Fischer lived for years with Miyoko Watai, former president of the Japan Chess Federation, but no one knows for sure whether they were legally married. Fischer lived in almost complete secrecy during his final years in Iceland, but the legal fight that will undoubtedly erupt over his estate may shed further light on his relationships.Chess
