"Fifty-two of our 55 languages are in various stages of disappearing. And if they disappear here it would be extremely difficult to retrieve. This is our country."

"It's a hard thing to do to keep our language, but if we aren't able to do it, and have our language in our schools, in a few years there will be no such thing."

"It really depends where you are because there are areas of the country where the language is strong but then you go to many communities and the language isn't spoken or it isn't by many people," he said.
