The pilots and ground crew returned to Neepawa this week with plans to resume flying Wednesday morning. However, a series of mishaps kept the 1930 two-seater, open-cockpit plane on the ground. First, the hangar doors were frozen shut and it took two hours to get them open. Then, after warming up the plane's engine for an hour the flight was cancelled at the last minute when the intercom system malfunctioned.
The commemorative flight was supposed to end in Edmonton Sunday afternoon but [John Chalmers] said the pilots and crew put the plane back in the hangar and drove back to Edmonton.Cold Ices Special Flight of Vintage Biplane
